La gioia del Risorto ha pervaso e animato tutta la vita di Giovanni Bosco. Da vero uomo pasquale, vive tutta la sua vita in chiave di educatore-pastore. E Lui che lo chiama per nome, gli fa vedere i soggetti, il carattere cristiano della sua azione educativa, della sua missione, il metodo e lo stile. Il suo metodo educativo diviene «insieme pedagogia, pastorale, spiritualità, che associa in un’unica esperienza dinamica educatori e destinatari, contenuti e metodi con atteggiamenti e comportamenti nettamente caratterizzati». Si tratta di una carità pastorale, messa in atto, attraversata dall’ansia di Cristo risorto buon Pastore. La strada di Emmaus con il Risorto ci invita oggi a vedere la nostra vita, interpretarla e amarla come un cammino. «Esistere significa essere in cammino». In quanto educatori, testimoni della risurrezione, discepoli di don Bosco, volendo dare ragioni di vita e speranza ai giovani ci si presenta il compito intrasferibile di essere persone che vivono di speranza e sanno dar fiducia al Risorto, significa cogliere i semi di speranza che ha seminato nel mondo. don Bosco, uomo pasquale, ha saputo farlo e offrirlo ai giovani.

The joy of the Risen Lord permeated and animated the entire life of John Bosco. He lived his whole life as an educator and pastor, as a true Easter person. It was the Lord who called him by name, made him see his subjects, the christian character of his educational activity, mission, method and style. His method of education became “a pedagogy, pastoral action and spirituality, which combined in a single dynamic experience of educators and recipients, contents and methods, with attitudes and behaviours clearly characterized.” It deals with a pastoral charity, implemented through the concern of the risen Christ the Good Shepherd. The road to Emmaus with the Risen Lord invites us today to see our life, interpret it and love it as a journey. “To exist means to be on the way.” Inasmuch as educators, witnesses of the resurrection, and disciples of don Bosco, desiring to give a reason for life and hope to the young people, present us with the non-negotiable task of being persons who live in hope and know how to give confidence in the Risen Lord, which means, to collect the seeds of hope which he has sown in the world. Don Bosco, as an Easter person, knew how to do it, and offer it to the young.
