La teoria dell’attaccamento, inizialmente utilizzata in campo psicologico per lo studio delle relazioni interpersonali mamma-bambino, è stata successivamente impiegata anche per lo studio delle dinamiche interpersonali nell’adulto, in particolare per quanto riguarda la relazione di coppia e, recentemente, pure per la relazione con Dio. Scopo del presente contributo è analizzare alcune proprietà psicometriche di due strumenti self-report – Attachment to God Inventory di Beck e McDonald (2004) e Attachment to God di Rowatt e Kirkpatrick (2002), quest’ultimo nel suo primo utilizzo in Italia – per la valutazione dell’attaccamento a Dio e per evidenziare il legame tra questa dimensione ed alcuni aspetti motivazionali che sono alla base del comportamento dell’evangelizzatore.

The theory of attachment, initially utilized in the field of psychology to study the mother-child interpersonal relation, has been successively employed also to study the interpersonal dynamics among adults, particularly regarding the relation between couples, and recently, also the relation with God. The scope of the present paper is to analyse some psychometric properties of two self-report instruments – “Attachment to God Inventory” of Beck and McDonald (2004) and “Attachment to God” of Rowatt and Kirkpatrick (2002), the latter being applied in Italy for the first time – to examine the attachment to God and to highlight the link between this dimension and some motivational aspects underlying the evangelizer’s behaviour.
