La carità, di cui oggi è urgente la lettura congiunta con la verità, si apre e si svolge nel contesto sociale con la categoria dello sviluppo umano integrale, centrale nel passato – con la Populorum progressio – ed anche nel presente – con la Caritas in veritate – della Dottrina sociale della Chiesa. Caritas in veritate in re sociali è il disegno della prima enciclica sociale di Benedetto XVI, di cui qui si rivisita soprattutto il punto di vista e il contenuto teologico, considerando anche la specificità della vocazione come ordo ad Deum, la rilevanza della relazionalità trinitaria per quella umana, la complessità del rapporto tra il giusto, il buono e il teologale.

Love, which today it is urgent for us to read together with truth, is disclosed and attained in the context of society in the category of integral human development, which was a central issue in the past – with the Populorum progressio – and even now - with Caritas in veritate – of the social doctrine of the Church. Caritas in veritate in re sociali is the pattern of the first social encyclical letter of Benedict XVI. This article particularly examines its perspective and theological contents while the specific vocation, as the ordo ad Deum, the importance of the trinitarian relationship for human relations, the complex connnection between that which is right, good and theological are also taken into consideration.
