Salesianum is the official Journal of the Salesian Pontifical University, which owns it and manages it through the Editorial Director and the Editorial Board, appointed by the Rector of the University.
Salesianum is a scientific journal, aimed mainly at an academic audience, with a strong interdisciplinary character. Promoting a harmonious vision of knowledge, Salesianum is a qualified organ for scientific discussion, particularly in the fields of Philosophical and Theological disciplines.

Salesianum has its own Code of Ethics, compliant with COPE Commettee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
In order to protect honesty in research and scientific production, the Editorial Board reserves the right to use the Compilatio© tool, or other similar devices, to check for any situations of plagiarism or manipulation of quotes. In case of plagiarism, even partial, the proposed contribution will be rejected.
Contributions intended for the Study or Commentary sections are subjected to Double-Blind Peer Review procedure. The reviewers (referees) are chosen by the Editorial Board from among scholars of recognized expertise, guaranteeing their autonomy of judgment and the absence of conflicts of interest, in accordance with what is indicated in the Code of Ethics.

Authors who send their contributions to Salesianum assign the rights of dissemination, reproduction and sale exclusively to Editrice LAS, for the period of time provided by the relevant legislation – up to 70 years after the author’s death. This applies to all contributions published in Salesianum, both in print and digital versions.
In the event that a contribution has not been accepted, or the author chooses not to proceed with the preparation of the final version according to the indications of the reviewers, this assignment of rights automatically lapses.
The rights of reproduction – even partial –, dissemination, translation and electronic storage of all texts published in Salesianum are reserved exclusively to Editrice LAS. The Publisher may grant written permission for the republication or translation, in whole or in part, of contributions already published in Salesianum, with the obligation to include the reference to the original publication and to recognize any credits thereof.
#BBD0E0 »Collaboration with Salesianum is free of charge. Authors are not required to pay for the referee service, nor for the electronic processing and publication of contributions.
If the author wishes to have his/her article published in open access mode, a payment of € 120 is required, to be paid before the date of publication of the issue.
All the studies published in Salesianum can be purchased individually on the Journal’s website, in pdf format. Users who subscribe to the digital edition have access to the entire archive of the Journal, for the duration of their subscription.
Some types of contributions (presentations, reviews, notices) are usually published in open access. At the discretion of the Editorial Board, some particularly deserving studies may also be published in open access mode, in agreement with the author and free of charge.
All open access contributions are published by Salesianum under the license Creative Commons 4.0 .
Salesianum grants authors the final digital version (pdf) of their contribution paginated with the publisher’s layout (Published version), for personal use only, unless the contribution is to be considered open access.
After the two-year embargo period, the author may eventually make public on other websites, as long as they are non-commercial, the definitive version of the text paginated by the author (Accepted version / Post-print version), indicating that it is the informal version, produced by the author, of a contribution published in Salesianum, and also specifying the bibliographic details of the same, the URL address and the DOI of the contribution.
The author who wishes to republish a contribution previously published in Salesianum must ask for the written permission of Editrice LAS, committing oneself to indicate the reference to the original publication.
No paid advertising space is provided. Within the limits of the space allowed by each issue, Salesianum hosts free advertisements for recently published works by the LAS publisher, the choice of which is up to the Director of LAS.
Salesianum website does not host any advertising.
All the contents of the journal are archived on the digital archiving structure of the Salesian Pontifical University, for which redundant backup procedures are activated and distributed in different locations.
Salesianum is entirely printed on certified paper from responsibly manged sources.
