Il testo studia due ambiti specifici dell’identità dei giovani: il mondo affettivo-emozionale delle nuove generazioni e la loro vita spirituale e religiosa. Una volta considerati i radicali cambiamenti prodottisi nell’esperienza umana negli ultimi secoli, da un lato, sembra chiaro che ci troviamo davanti ad un «nuovo modo di essere e di vivere»; dall’altro, i giovani sono più vittime che colpevoli sia del labirinto affettivo-emozionale che caratterizza la loro esistenza sia di quella specie di eclisse relativa alla vita spirituale e religiosa odierna. Entrambi i fenomeni chiamano in causa l’educazione come cammino di crescita nelle relazioni quotidiane affinché ogni persona sia in grado di avere una vera e propria vita «con spirito».

The text presents two specific areas of the identity of the young people: the affective-emotional world of the new generations and their spiritual and religious life. Once considered the radicals changes produced in the human experience in the last centuries, on the one hand, it turns out clear that we find us before a «new way to be and to live»; from the other, the young people are more victims that guilty both of the affective-emotional labyrinth that characterizes their existence and of that kind of eclipse related to the today’s spiritual and religious life. Both the phenomena call in question the education as way of growth in the daily relationships in order that every person is capable to have a real life «with spirit».
