L’inculturazione, che costituisce una delle caratteristiche fondamentali della missione evangelizzatrice che la Chiesa è chiamata ad attuare nel corso della storia, dopo essere già stata affrontata nei primi secoli dell’era cristiana con risultati decisamente positivi, è tornata alla ribalta nell’attuale riflessione teologica perché esprime la necessità di dover continuamente ad incarnare nella storia e nella cultura dell’uomo che vive nel tempo, il messaggio e l’esperienza salvifica del mistero pasquale di Cristo. L’analisi delle varie esortazioni apostoliche post-sinodali conferma che c’è ancora bisogno di approfondire il problema dell’inculturazione perché la Chiesa di oggi prenda sempre più coscienza dell’importanza e dell’urgenza del dialogo con ogni cultura poiché la frattura tra la fede e la cultura è il dramma dell’epoca moderna.

Inculturation forms one of the most important aspects for evangelisation in which the Church has been asked to fulfil throughout its history, from the beginning, with positive results. Also now, according to the theological studies, this is one of the most important questions, revealing the need of the Church to continually incarnate in history and in all the cultures its experience of salvation through the mystery of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After having analysed various post-synodal apostolic Exhortations, the Author confirms the need to become more familiar with the problems concerning inculturation: the Church of today is becoming more and more aware of the importance of dialoguing with other cultures because, unfortunately, the communicating breakdown between faith and culture is one of the major tragedy of the modern age.
