Questo contributo consiste in una riflessione sulla dimensione del vissuto cristiano come appare nel Direttorio su pietà popolare e liturgia - Principi e orientamenti. L’A. indica come tutto il discorso sulla pietà popolare è, in fin dei conti, un discorso che ha a che fare con la vita, cioè quel vissuto che attraverso la stessa pietà popolare esprime un contatto con il divino, reso visibile come impegno nella storia. Due sono le parti di questa riflessione, precedute da una introduzione. La prima è la dimensione del vissuto della pietà popolare nel suo svolgimento storico. La seconda si sofferma sulla problematica attuale insieme con alcuni punti di riflessione che sono portati avanti dal Magistero della Chiesa.

The present article has as its main focus the moral dimension of Christian living as it is presented within the Directory on Popular Piety and the Liturgy: Principles and Guidelines. The author points out how popular piety is ultimately concerned about life, that is the lived experience, through which one expresses the contact with the divine, made visible in the involvement of the concrete life-history. The two parts of this article are preceded by an introduction. The first part presents the historical development of popular piety and, the second, the present day challenges together with some reflections, which the Magisterium invites for a deeper reflection.
