From the XV Ordinary Assembly of the Synod of Bishops emerges the decision, evident from the title, to explicitly link youth, faith, and vocation. In this context, this article aims to further examine the interdependence between youth ministry and vocation, recognising the latter as an inspiring principle, origin, and destination of the former. From a predominantly Christological perspective, the central thesis posits that the preferred path for a qualified and fruitful vocational youth ministry is through the gradual generation and education towards a comprehensive Christian life. This suggests that, before offering courses, retreats, or talks focused solely on vocation, it is essential to practice and guide young people along Christian and ecclesial pathways that clarify the journey from the initial kerygma to a life as a missionary disciple. Following some theoretical reflections that frame and underpin the discourse, the text provides operational guidelines on the timing, methods, strategies, and tools by which the Church can accompany a young person in their human and faith experiences and their vocational journey. The essay is logically concise and, given the breadth of the topic, requires further clarifications depending on various specific contexts and circumstances.
