  • Sottotitolo: Salesianum Publishes a new Policy on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence

The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and the increasing availability of platforms that leverage its creative potential can significantly impact the production of contributions intended for a scientific journal. For this reason, Salesianum is among the first academic journals to adopt a specific Policy regarding the use of AI.

The new AI Policy complements both the Code of Ethics and the Publication Policy. It is primarily intended for authors and peer reviewers, with the aim of providing clear guidelines to safeguard the authenticity of submissions, respect for intellectual property, and transparency in the evaluation process.

One of the policy’s objectives is also the protection of confidential information, such as reviewer reports and communication with authors.

Salesianum’s current AI Policy represents a first but significant step, and the Editorial Board is committed to updating it regularly in line with the fast-paced technological evolution of AI.
